Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of the product line strategy, contributing to the overall sustainable growth objectives of the brand within the organization. This role involves leading, managing, and coordinating all product-related activities for the indoor lighting portfolio, focusing on goal definition, product brief creation, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee global product management for specific product families within the brand.
- Manage a comprehensive product portfolio of luminaires, including associated software, hardware, and services, ensuring profitability aligns with the company's strategic goals.
- Assess and analyze portfolio performance to inform investment decisions.
- Collaborate closely with Market Intelligence and Sales to track global market trends, technology advancements, and customer needs.
- Conduct thorough product and competitor analyses to enhance the product portfolio and drive innovation.
- Identify customer requirements and market opportunities, positioning products effectively against competitors.
- Develop product strategies for each family, including short- and long-term roadmaps, to achieve sales and market share targets.
- Facilitate innovation workshops for the product portfolio.
- Ensure timely delivery of customer-focused products, overseeing ideation, specifications, and sourcing decisions.
- Establish core positioning for each product family to guide marketing and pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with application heads on strategic pricing and manage SKU complexity across the global portfolio.
- Act as a liaison between Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and other stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
- Lead global product launches in coordination with the Global Launch Management team.
- Deliver internal and external product presentations and training sessions for sales teams and stakeholders.
- Maintain regular communication with Product Development, Market Intelligence, Production, and Sales teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, innovation management, business administration, marketing, or related fields with a strong technical foundation.
- Proven experience in a product management role within the lighting manufacturing sector.
- Expertise in product positioning within specific markets.
- Understanding of product portfolio development and management for leading industry brands.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills to assess product requirements.
- Current knowledge of product management strategies, methodologies, and processes.
- Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time to support market presence.
