We are excited to announce an opportunity within our Supply Chain Management team at Subsea 7 for two dedicated Buyers. These positions will allow you to become an integral part of a dynamic and diverse team, where your professional growth and skill development will be actively supported.

The UK & Global IRM department plays a crucial role in delivering a comprehensive range of integrated SURF and IRM solutions for various projects. Our expertise spans from short-term engagements to major EPCI projects, including early engagement, DSV, pipelay, bundles, and pioneering energy initiatives such as field electrification, floating wind, CCS, and hydrogen.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Buyer, you will be a vital member of the Supply Chain Management team, tasked with:

  • Identifying and sourcing competitive proposals from suppliers for materials, rentals, and services that adhere to specifications, quality standards, budget constraints, and timelines.
  • Negotiating and finalizing agreements with suppliers to secure the most advantageous contract terms.
  • Leveraging lessons learned to ensure that Supply Chain Management activities align with best practices, aiming to mitigate risks while promoting the core values of the company.
  • Ensuring adherence to all Supply Chain policies, processes, systems, and procedures.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with suppliers, including conducting site visits.

  • Experience in a procurement or buyer role is preferred, but candidates with relevant commercial experience in other capacities will also be considered.
  • Proficiency in IT and Microsoft applications is essential; familiarity with SAP and SAP Ariba is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of business analysis and planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively evaluate, organize, and prioritize workload.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the capacity to communicate effectively in English across various stakeholder levels.
  • Confidence in networking, negotiation, and influencing.
  • Numerical aptitude with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
