Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has emerged for an Administrative Coordinator to join the Orthopaedic Services on a fixed-term contract.

This role involves managing appointment scheduling for fracture clinics and providing comprehensive administrative support to the Orthopaedic Secretariat. The ideal candidate will possess experience in appointment management within a healthcare setting, alongside strong typing abilities, excellent organizational skills, and the capacity to work collaboratively as well as independently.

Key Responsibilities

1. Schedule appointments for fracture clinics using the designated system and communicate with patients as necessary.

2. Assist the secretarial team by typing up notes from ward rounds and clinic correspondence.

3. Perform various clerical tasks as required by the team, including non-clinical administrative duties as directed.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Good standard of general education, including GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
  • RSA II or equivalent qualification demonstrating a good level of typing speed and accuracy.

Desirable:

  • Experience working within a healthcare organization.

Experience

  • Familiarity with patient administration systems.
  • Experience in general office operations.
