The Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Trauma and Orthopaedics Department Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organized professional to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Trauma and Orthopaedics department, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and effective communication with staff, patients, and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve departmental efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Consultant Secretary and Specialty Support Manager to prioritize tasks and manage workload.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to queries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, patients, and families.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant policies, procedures, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve departmental performance.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 GCSEs, including English, and relevant secretarial experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels.
- Proficiency in computer systems, including data accuracy and audio typing.
- Experience of working in a hospital setting, preferably with knowledge of Camis/EPR systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and a flexible approach to working patterns.
