About the Role

Dorset Police and Devon and Cornwall Police are seeking an experienced ICT Network Manager to oversee the management, monitoring, and optimization of the ICT Network across both forces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on the feasibility and impact of strategic and tactical changes to ICT Network services.
  • Manage and own the Voice and Data Network area, working closely with the Managed Service provider.
  • Develop and implement effective ICT Network strategies to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of ICT services with other business functions.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of ICT systems and data.
  • Manage and monitor ICT budgets and resources.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills of ICT staff.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computing, ICT, Technology, or a related field.
  • ITIL Service Management certification.
  • Project management qualification (Prince2 or Agile).
  • Contract management experience/qualifications.
  • High level of ICT competency as an advanced user of Microsoft M365 applications.
  • Experience in strategic ICT supplier and service management.
  • Proven successful project management of complex ICT projects.
  • Experience in managing large budgets.
  • Significant understanding and implementation of security best practice in the delivery of ICT services.
  • Experience with auditors and security specialists.
  • Experienced in managing and supporting ICT services.
  • Experience in negotiating with and managing 3rd party suppliers.
  • Significant relevant experience in the management and monitoring of mission-critical network services within large organizations.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation such as the Computer Misuse Act, Telecommunications Act, and Data Protection Act.
