About the Role
Dorset Police and Devon and Cornwall Police are seeking an experienced ICT Network Manager to oversee the management, monitoring, and optimization of the ICT Network across both forces.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on the feasibility and impact of strategic and tactical changes to ICT Network services.
- Manage and own the Voice and Data Network area, working closely with the Managed Service provider.
- Develop and implement effective ICT Network strategies to meet the needs of the organization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of ICT services.
- Manage and monitor large budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Implement and maintain security best practices in the delivery of ICT services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with 3rd party suppliers.
- Manage and support ICT services, ensuring high levels of performance and availability.
Requirements
- Degree in Computing, ICT, Technology, or similar field (BSc or equivalent experience).
- ITIL Service Management certification (or ability to achieve within a reasonable timeframe).
- Project management qualification (Prince2 or Agile).
- Appropriate contract management experience/qualifications.
- High level of ICT competency, including advanced user skills in Microsoft M365 applications.
- Experience in strategic ICT supplier and service management in a network or telephony technology area.
- Proven successful project management of complex ICT projects.
- Significant understanding and implementation of security best practices in the delivery of ICT services.
- Experience with auditors and security specialists.
- Experienced in managing and supporting ICT services, ensuring high levels of performance and availability.
