About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Disability Practice Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of people with disabilities and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement effective practice for people with disabilities, ensuring continuous improvement and driving practice change.
  2. Provide expert advice, support, and physical presence in the community and county-wide teams to develop the skills and confidence of staff to support people with complex needs.
  3. Help drive the culture change to promote greater independence and progression through a strength-based approach, with better access to information and advice, community-based options, and TEC solutions.
  4. Ensure that managers are monitoring risk to timely, safe, and effective service delivery, alerting more senior managers to risk and issues as they arise or increase.
  5. Analyse relevant practice and performance data to identify strengths and weaknesses in operational practice.
  6. Provide expert professional, technical, and practice advice to staff, encompassing guidance about the requirements of policy and legislation.
  7. Advising, and on occasion leading, coordinating, and managing arrangements to resolve casework situations where there is a high level of risk and complexity.
  8. Review the quality of practice against required standards, providing feedback and supporting and monitoring improvement where required.
About You

You must be a registered Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, or Nurse, with a real passion for people, quality, and practice improvement. You will be able to use 'coaching' type skills in supporting staff to develop their practice. You will need to demonstrate good communication across all mediums (electronic, written, verbal) with an ability to take account of the audience that is receiving the information.
