Senior Specialist in Learning Disability and Health Inequalities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Specialist in Learning Disability and Health Inequalities. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage a team of reviewers, undertake and allocate LeDeR reviews, and support reviewers to conduct their review activity.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist skills, knowledge, and leadership across the Devon ICS LeDeR programme.
- Lead and line manage a team of reviewers, undertaking and allocating LeDeR reviews, as well as supporting reviewers to conduct their review activity.
- Drive service improvement in partnership with health and social care providers and provide Quality Assurance for the LeDeR programme within the ICB.
- Contribute to and lead work focused on implementing practice changes identified from LeDeR related learning.
- Support related work outside of the focused remit of the LeDeR Programmes that seeks to address health inequalities for people with a learning disability, autism, or both.
NHS Devon Integrated Care Board is responsible for the majority of the county's NHS budget, and develops a plan to improve people's health, deliver high-quality care, and better value for money. Requirements- Master's level education or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in a specialist area.
- Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through a postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience or training.
- Understanding of the relationship between NHS organisations and wider system, regional, and national organisations.
- Ability to oversee and be responsible for a budget for a department and/or service.
- Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment.
- Significant experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments.
- Experience of managing risks and reporting.
- Experience of developing briefing papers and correspondence at SLT or chief officer level.
- Experience of monitoring budgets and business planning processes.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Member of a relevant professional body (RNLD, RN, RNcyp, RNMH, or Allied Health Professional).
- Demonstrated experience in a healthcare environment.
- Understanding of the public sector.
