Senior Specialist in Learning Disability and Health Inequalities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a LeDeR and Health Inequalities Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people with learning disabilities and autism in Devon.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the implementation of learning into practice across the Integrated Care System, reducing health inequalities and improving outcomes for people with learning disabilities and autism.
- Work closely with the Local Area Contact, LeDeR and Health Inequalities Specialist, and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategies to address health inequalities.
- Provide specialist skills, knowledge, and leadership to the LeDeR programme, including line managing a team of reviewers and undertaking and allocating LeDeR reviews.
- Drive service improvement in partnership with health and social care providers, and provide Quality Assurance for the LeDeR programme within the Integrated Care Board.
- Contribute to and lead work focused on implementing practice changes identified from LeDeR-related learning, and support related work outside of the focused remit of the LeDeR programme.

Requirements- Master's degree or equivalent level of experience in a relevant field.
- Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through a postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience or training.
- Ability to oversee and be responsible for a budget for a department and/or service.
- Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment.
- Experience of managing risks and reporting.
- Experience of developing briefing papers and correspondence at senior leadership team or chief officer level.
- Experience of monitoring budgets and business planning processes.
- Member of a relevant professional body.
