Senior Specialist in Learning Disability and Health Inequalities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our LeDeR and Tackling Health Inequalities programme. As a Senior Specialist in Learning Disability and Health Inequalities, you will be responsible for driving service improvement and reducing health inequalities for people with a learning disability, autism, or both.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the implementation of learning into practice across the ICS, reducing health inequalities with a specific focus on working with Public Health programmes.
- Work with the Local Area Contact (LAC), LeDeR and Tackling Health Inequalities Specialist to develop and implement strategies to address health inequalities.
- Collaborate with health and social care providers to drive service improvement and reduce health inequalities.
- Provide Quality Assurance for the LeDeR programme within the ICB.
- Contribute to and lead work focused on implementing practice changes identified from LeDeR related learning.
NHS Devon Integrated Care Board is responsible for the majority of the county's NHS budget and develops a plan to improve people's health, deliver high-quality care, and better value for money. Requirements- Master's level education or equivalent level of experience in a specialist area.
- Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through a postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience or training.
- Ability to oversee and be responsible for a budget for a department and/or service.
- Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment.
- Experience of managing risks and reporting.
- Experience of developing briefing papers and correspondence at SLT or chief officer level.
- Experience of monitoring budgets and business planning processes.
- Member of a relevant professional body (RNLD, RN, RNcyp, RNMH, or Allied Health Professional).
