Learning Disability Inpatient Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Practitioner to join our Learning Disability Inpatient Unit as a Clinical Lead. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and treatment to individuals with learning disabilities and complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assess care needs, develop, implement, and evaluate individual care plans.
- Provide named practitioner role to individuals who use our service.
- Promote and improve the quality of service provided.
- Manage the unit in the absence of the Ward Manager/Team Leader.
- Participate in the internal rotation system, including weekend working.
- Registered Nurse RNLD/RNM or dual qualified Registered Nurse RNLD and Social worker integrated practice.
- Degree/HE Diploma level.
- Working knowledge of using common computer programs such as email, internet, word processing.
- Evidence of willingness to undertake further training.
- Primary/Named Nursing.
- Shift management over a span of duty.
- Assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
- Nursing care of informal and detained patients.
- Assessing and care planning for individuals who have a learning disability and exhibit behavioral distress.
- Assessing and care planning for individuals who have a learning disability and have additional complex communication, health, and psycho-social care needs.
