Job Title: Senior Client Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Client Manager to join our team in Exeter. As a Senior Client Manager, you will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of clients, overseeing workflow, deadlines, and budgets.

About the Role:
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, providing exceptional accounting services and building strong relationships.
  • Work closely with the Senior Management team to deliver excellent accounting services and drive business growth.
  • Plan and undertake assignments, striving to deliver service excellence and meet client expectations.
  • Lead a team of accountants, reviewing work, providing constructive mentorship, and motivating team members.
  • Win new client work and build a professional network through business development activities.
  • Contribute to the firm's growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients.
  • Review processes and implement more efficient ways of service delivery, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Set an example to junior staff as a hands-on Senior Manager, demonstrating expertise and leadership skills.
  • Review work and provide mentorship to junior staff, helping them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Undertake own professional development by actively seeking further learning opportunities, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

The Successful Candidate:
  • ACA or ACCA qualified or equivalent, with demonstrable experience within practice.
  • Experience managing a client portfolio of owner-managed businesses.
  • Previous experience leading a team, including reviewing work and providing mentorship.
  • A sound commercial understanding and acumen.
  • A greater leader who enjoys coaching their team.
  • An energetic business developer, keen to build contacts and a wider network.
  • Organised and able to oversee a team's workload effectively.
  • An excellent communicator, able to build rapport with people at all levels.
  • Confident working closely with senior management.
