Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Disability Inpatient Practitioner to join our team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals with learning disabilities and complex mental health needs.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will have the chance to develop your skills and expertise in a specialist field. As a Learning Disability Inpatient Practitioner, you will be responsible for assessing care needs, developing and implementing individual care plans, and providing leadership and management to the inpatient unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess care needs and develop individual care plans
  • Provide leadership and management to the inpatient unit
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care and support
  • Develop and implement Positive Behavioural Support Plans
  • Ensure accurate clinical observations and record-keeping
  • Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse RNLD/RNM or dual qualified Registered Nurse RNLD and Social worker integrated practice
  • Degree/HE Diploma level
  • Experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities and complex mental health needs
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
