BDS (Northern) Limited is seeking a dedicated Housing Support Worker to join our team in assisting a Social Justice Charity. This role focuses on providing essential housing support to individuals facing various challenges, including survivors of domestic abuse, former offenders, youth, individuals with mental health issues, and those dealing with substance dependency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tailored support and safety strategies in collaboration with service users.
  • Assist clients in navigating benefit claims and housing opportunities.
  • Ensure that housing units are properly equipped, maintained, and cleaned to provide a safe living environment.
  • Create and facilitate a transition plan for service users moving towards independent living.

Requirements:

  • A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are necessary for this position.
  • An Enhanced DBS check, issued within the last year, is required.
  • Previous experience in housing support with vulnerable populations is essential.

This position is temporary and ongoing, offering a hybrid working arrangement.

Working Hours: 35 hours per week, with shifts available from 8am to 4pm or 2pm to 10pm.

Compensation: Pay rate of £13.72 per hour PAYE or £18 per hour UMB.
