Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our Product Development team at Professional Technical. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in advancing our product portfolio and driving innovation in the consumer electronics industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead the design, development, and launch of strategic projects, ensuring timely delivery and meeting regulatory standards.
  • Design Excellence: Ensure that products meet performance criteria for safety, functionality, and reliability, while incorporating sustainability objectives into new product designs.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate the product development process, utilizing 3D CAD software (SolidWorks) to produce models, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Design Optimization: Continuously assess and enhance designs for cost-efficiency, manufacturing improvements, and increased quality, ensuring that design solutions meet both financial and functional requirements.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise and guidance on design-related issues to the broader product development team, assisting in the development and commercialisation of new technologies and innovations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in design engineering, with a strong background in consumer electronics.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong technical expertise in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks) and design optimization techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
