About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at the Structural Engineering Alliance Group. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for leading an engineering cost centre for our Midland Region, utilizing the latest design software to create and manage structural designs.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead an engineering cost centre for our Midland Region, overseeing project budgets and staff resources.
  • Develop and implement structural designs for a wide range of projects, including domestic extensions, multistorey apartment and office developments.
  • Liaise with key clients and discuss design/technical solutions with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are appropriately resourced, delegating work to team members and monitoring progress.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior staff, fostering their development and progression.
  • Prepare calculations, drawings, details, specifications, and reports for a wide range of structures and materials.
  • Implement company policies and ensure adherence across your team.
  • Develop existing customer relationships and promote our services.
  • Assist in achieving targeted revenues from current and new customers.

Qualifications:

  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng) would be advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in structural engineering.
  • Proven track record of cost estimation and project management.
  • Prior experience working with historic buildings is highly desirable.
