About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at the Structural Engineering Alliance Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading engineering cost centers, utilizing the latest design software, and collaborating with clients and stakeholders to deliver high-quality structural designs.

Responsibilities
  • Lead engineering cost centers for our Midland Region
  • Utilize latest design software to create and manage structural designs
  • Liaise with key clients and discuss design/technical solutions with team members and stakeholders
  • Ensure projects are appropriately resourced, delegating work to team members, programming deliverables, and monitoring progress
  • Provide support and guidance to junior staff, fostering their development and progression
  • Prepare calculations, drawings, details, specifications, and reports for a wide range of structures and materials
  • Implement Company policies and ensure adherence across your team
  • Monitor and oversee project budgets and staff resources for projects undertaken
  • Develop existing customer relationships and promote JMS's services
  • Assist in achieving targeted revenues from current and new customers
Qualifications
  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng) would be advantageous
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent (Master's degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in structural engineering
  • Proven track record of cost estimation and project management
  • Prior experience working with historic buildings is highly desirable
