Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Health & Safety Coordinator to enhance our health and safety protocols through expert advice, support, and guidance.

The Health & Safety Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring that DO & CO complies with all relevant health and safety legislation while providing assistance to staff and management in fostering a secure work environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting regular inspections and audits to identify potential risks and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures to uphold a secure workplace.
  • Investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses to ascertain root causes and propose corrective measures.
  • Delivering safety training to employees on topics such as hazard recognition, emergency procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Compiling reports on safety performance and presenting findings to management.
  • Collaborating with management to formulate and execute safety enhancement initiatives.
  • Performing risk assessments and aiding in the formulation of risk mitigation strategies.
  • Maintaining precise records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience as a Safety Coordinator or in a comparable role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Strong analytical abilities with a focus on root cause analysis.
  • Experience in airside operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Excellent report writing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexibility regarding work availability is essential, as operations run seven days a week, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
