Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Health & Safety Coordinator to enhance our health and safety practices through expert advice, support, and guidance.

The Health and Safety Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations while assisting employees and management in fostering a secure work environment.

This position involves investigating incidents or near misses to uncover root causes and recommend preventative measures. This may include suggesting modifications to equipment, procedures, or processes.

  • Perform regular inspections and audits to detect potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures to uphold a secure workplace.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify underlying causes and propose corrective actions.
  • Deliver safety training to staff on topics such as hazard recognition, emergency protocols, and safe working practices.
  • Compile reports on safety performance and present findings to management.
  • Collaborate with leadership to create and execute safety enhancement initiatives.
  • Conduct risk assessments and assist in formulating risk mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain precise records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience as a Safety Coordinator or in a comparable role.
  • Thorough understanding of safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Strong analytical abilities with a focus on root cause analysis.
  • Experience in airside operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Exceptional report writing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexibility in work availability is essential, as operations run seven days a week, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
