Job Overview

The Role

As a key figure in the Frasers Group, you will lead a dynamic team within one of the fastest-growing luxury retail sectors. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a diverse team of over 20 managers in our flagship location.

We are redefining the retail landscape by innovating traditional retail environments and ensuring the longevity of our business. Your role will require a strong commercial insight to mentor and elevate store managers, providing motivational leadership to exceed company goals. You will act as a business leader for your store, ensuring that operational initiatives are executed with enthusiasm and efficiency, while managing all aspects of store operations, customer service, budget adherence, personnel management, and product oversight.


Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Excellence:

  • Manage store operations to meet all performance indicators.
  • Monitor store performance and hold managers accountable for outcomes, offering support and constructive feedback.
  • Utilize business communication tools to ensure task completion and clarity of key functions among your team.
  • Encourage and implement improvements in store operations.

2. Financial Controls:

  • Ensure weekly wage control measures are adhered to, facilitating prompt resolution of any issues.
  • Oversee payroll processing compliance, addressing any discrepancies effectively.
  • Drive superior performance in wage management through detailed analysis and observations.
  • Guide store teams to meet business timelines and set realistic expectations.

3. Sales Performance:

  • Understand and execute business and customer expectations to the highest standards.
  • Monitor service quality and coach managers on enhancement strategies.
  • Foster a comprehensive understanding of product features and benefits among team members.
  • Drive key performance indicators and inspire the team to achieve results.
  • Analyze performance data and communicate findings for improvement.
  • Maintain awareness of the retail industry landscape, including challenges and competitor insights.
  • Guide teams in applying merchandising guidelines effectively on the sales floor.

4. Talent Development:

  • Identify and nurture internal and external talent, leveraging development opportunities to enhance performance.
  • Take initiative in personal development and growth.
  • Establish clear succession plans to foster the next generation of leaders and support business expansion.
  • Create a performance-driven environment that rewards achievements fairly.

5. Leadership and Team Management:

  • Act as a brand ambassador for Flannels, both within and outside the workplace.
  • Inspire and motivate your team, serving as a role model.
  • Develop, coach, and hold your management team accountable for their success.
  • Build strong relationships with store teams, senior management, brand partners, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in leading large teams within a fast-paced, multi-departmental environment.
  • A minimum of 3 years in luxury and premium retail at a senior management level.
  • Extensive knowledge and enthusiasm for luxury retail, including brand relationship management.
  • A proven track record in driving sales, managing costs, and reducing stock loss while overseeing senior managers.
  • Evidence of internal progression and talent development.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work according to business needs.

This is a full-time, permanent position requiring availability across weekdays, weekends, and evenings. Candidates should be prepared to work retail hours.
