Senior Manager of Corporate Strategy

Salary Approx. £100,000

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Manager of Corporate Strategy to join our dynamic team. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an individual eager to enhance their career by engaging in a variety of essential projects.

Joining us now means you will play a vital role in strategic initiatives that significantly impact the Group and its operations, ultimately delivering exceptional value to our stakeholders.

About the Role:

You will collaborate effectively with market leadership teams, the broader organization, the Corporate Strategy division, and various internal partners to pinpoint inorganic growth opportunities that can expedite the Group's strategic objectives. You will provide analytical support for transactions, including financial assessments and commercial evaluations for strategic initiatives across the organization - encompassing strategic reviews, acquisitions, divestitures, distribution agreements, restructurings, and reinsurance arrangements.

Your responsibilities will include facilitating transaction execution - overseeing project management, coordinating with advisors, and collaborating with other Group functions to gather necessary functional insights. Additionally, you will manage the creation of ad-hoc research pertinent to the Group's strategy, including business and market analysis, and prepare governance and approval documentation while implementing effective risk management and internal control systems aligned with the established risk appetite.

Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in an analyst program at an investment bank or professional services firm is highly desirable, with a background in Insurance/Financial Services being essential.
  • Strong financial, technical, and analytical capabilities, ideally with expertise in corporate finance.
  • Exceptional written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage, challenge, and influence senior stakeholders while addressing business needs.
  • Proven ability to manage your workload and meet deadlines, adapt swiftly across various topics, and balance multiple priorities, complemented by strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • A degree in economics, finance, and/or accounting or a relevant actuarial or accounting qualification is preferred.
What We Offer:

Our commitment - with you today, for a better tomorrow - extends to our colleagues as well. One way we fulfill this promise is through our investment in your development. We provide a range of benefits for our employees:
  • Starting salary around £100,000 (subject to location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
  • Bonus potential - 12% of annual salary, contingent on your performance and the company's results.
  • Generous pension scheme - we contribute up to 14%, depending on your contributions.
  • 29 days holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell up to 5 additional days.
  • Financial benefits - Up to 40% discount on company products and other retailer discounts.
  • Up to £1,200 in free company shares annually through our Matching Share Plan and participation in our Save As You Earn scheme.
  • Supportive policies including parental and carer's leave.
  • Flexible benefits tailored to your needs, including sustainability options like cycle-to-work schemes.
  • Opportunities to make a difference by joining our Communities and utilizing your 3 paid volunteering days.
  • We prioritize your wellbeing with extensive support and resources.
