Position Overview:

This role, reporting directly to the Head of Strategy & Corporate Development, is pivotal in supporting the formulation of Trayport's strategic initiatives and the execution of inorganic growth strategies through partnerships and mergers & acquisitions on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities:

Partnership Management:

  • Foster and manage strategic relationships with partners to enhance value for Trayport and its network.
  • Lead and oversee new initiatives aimed at delivering on Trayport's growth objectives.
  • Assist in the creation of a standardized framework for partner management, ensuring effective communication and application across the organization.
  • Collaborate with partners to address challenges, articulate requirements, and create synergistic opportunities.

Corporate Development:

  • Conduct market analysis to identify potential acquisition targets and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Deliver regular market intelligence and strategic insights to business leaders.
  • Support M&A processes from inception to completion, with a strong emphasis on due diligence.
  • Assist in the development and assessment of financial models.
  • Prepare documentation for senior management and board review for project approvals or funding requests.
  • Collaborate with internal and external communications teams on announcements related to deals.
  • Work with integration teams to effectively communicate strategic objectives and identify immediate actions stemming from due diligence findings.

Strategic Analysis:

  • Collaborate on research and analysis of market trends to uncover future opportunities.
  • Monitor and report on market developments that impact ongoing strategic initiatives.
  • Support the group strategy team in achieving broader strategic goals.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of strategic communications to senior management and the Board.
  • Facilitate business development efforts in new markets.
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses, business cases, and presentations as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing partner or client relationships is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of M&A and valuation principles, along with prior exposure to corporate development processes.
  • Proven experience in strategic analysis, market research, and the ability to compile actionable benchmarks from diverse data sources.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Adept at prioritizing competing initiatives, demonstrating intellectual curiosity, and thriving in a dynamic business environment.
