Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Childcare Services Manager to oversee our new facility. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our young residents receive the highest standard of care in a supportive environment.
Job Type:
Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours:
40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage a 4-bed children's home, leading a team of 9 staff members to deliver exceptional care.
2. Foster a positive and enriching living experience for young people, focusing on their individual needs and outcomes.
3. Demonstrate strong leadership by motivating and developing staff within a collaborative culture, including the provision of training.
4. Represent the organization professionally to external agencies and within the community, contributing to the overall development of the company.
5. Uphold a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and inspection requirements.
Qualifications:
1. A recognized qualification in social work, such as QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People) and QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People Workforce or equivalent.
2. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a relevant role within the last 5 years, including at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
3. Valid driving license and access to a vehicle with business insurance, along with the ability to undertake on-call duties as required.
Benefits:
1. 22 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
2. Occupancy bonus of £175 per child after the first child, with additional bonuses for Ofsted reports.
3. Non-contributory pension scheme with a 9% employer contribution and company sick pay after a probationary period.
4. On-call payments of £10 per day on weekdays and £50 on weekends.
5. Enhanced sick pay policy, offering 5 days of full sick pay.
