Residential Childcare Team Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our Residential Childcare team at Headway Adolescent Resources. As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and safety of young people in our care, while also providing leadership and guidance to our Residential Support Workers.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the Home runs efficiently and effectively to a high standard, safeguarding young people at all times.
- Create a homely environment for young people, taking into account their views, wishes, and feelings.
- Manage and lead Residential Support Workers, delivering supervision in accordance with company policy.
- Comply with the Company's Safeguarding Policies and Procedures.
- Have an up-to-date knowledge of the Home's Statement of Purpose, Policy, and Procedures, as well as relevant legislation.
- Support effective multi-agency working and positive relationships with staff, the local community, local authorities, and other professional agencies.
- Comply with and apply company guidelines on Codes of Conduct, setting an acceptable role model standard within the home.
- Assist in the development and delivery of the objectives identified in young people's Plans.
- Support and complement the reviewing and monitoring process in the development of Care Planning.
- Promote anti-discriminatory and equal opportunity practices in line with Company Policy.
- Comply with legislation and company policies on Health & Safety, Fire, and Data Protection.
- Attend all required training and support QCF learners when required.
- Good overall standard of education.
- Working towards or hold Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Child Care legislation, children's home regulations, and quality standards.
- Previous experience of working directly with young people with challenging behavior.
- Good report writing and numeracy skills, well-organized with good administration skills, and IT literate.
- Able to relate to young people with empathy and committed to a high standard of childcare and achieving the best outcomes for young people in their care.
- Strong motivational, management, and leadership potential.
- Good knowledge of relevant Children's Home legislation and local & national child protection procedures and protocols.
