About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Family Law Solicitor to join our dynamic legal aid practice. The successful candidate will be working with our Head of Family Department, who has been recognized as a leading expert in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Building and managing a caseload of public and private children cases
  • Providing expert representation and advice to clients
  • Undertaking advocacy and appearing in court
  • Assisting with delivery of training and development in the department
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to other team members

Requirements

  • Significant experience of acting for clients in public and private children law matters
  • Registered with the Law Society and Children Panel Membership is desirable
  • Excellent networking and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and foster a positive culture
  • Working knowledge of the publicly funded Child Care work and ability to service privately funded cases
