Job Description

Job Title: Pensions Officer - Community Support Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pensions Officer to join our team at North Northamptonshire Council. As a Pensions Officer - Community Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with various disabilities and needs in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct strength-based assessments to identify and deliver care needs in conjunction with individuals, carers, and multi-agencies.
  • Assess and manage risks to individuals and others effectively, while ensuring positive risk-taking is supported and appropriately managed.
  • Provide accurate, impartial information, support, and guidance to people and their families, including financial matters.
  • Manage own caseload and organize work activities, prioritizing tasks and responsibilities.
  • Use a person-centered approach to develop creative and personalized solutions to assist individuals to manage their lives independently in the community.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 or above in Health and Social Care or equivalent (or willing to work towards).
  • Experience of delivering care services in a community-based setting.
  • Able to travel effectively to various locations, using a vehicle.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and tolerant to meet the needs of the service.
  • Ability to attend and successfully complete mandatory training.
  • Understanding of equality standards and diversity issues and their impact in social care services.
