Position Overview: GLL is seeking a dedicated Senior Library Assistant to enhance our team. This role involves working part-time, specifically 17 hours per week, in a vibrant community-oriented library environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome visitors to a clean, safe, and inviting library space, ensuring they feel valued and supported.
  • Assist patrons in navigating our extensive collections and resources, including literature, public access technology, and local history archives.
  • Engage with diverse community members to understand their needs and help them maximize their library experience.
  • Organize and facilitate engaging activities for children and families, such as storytime and creative workshops.
  • Adhere to safeguarding policies to protect children and vulnerable individuals.
  • Follow established operating procedures and contribute to a smooth library operation.
  • Provide assistance with various inquiries and support customers in utilizing library services effectively.
  • Participate actively in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:
