Senior Clinical Psychologist – Adult Gender Services

Work Hours Update: As part of NHS Scotland's initiative, the standard full-time working week will transition from 37.5 to 37 hours, effective from April 2024, without any alteration in remuneration. This adjustment will also apply proportionately to part-time staff. It is important to note that certain service areas may not immediately implement this change, and temporary adjustments may require you to work an additional 30 minutes weekly, for which you will be compensated until the service adapts its schedules.
Position Overview: We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a Senior Clinical Psychologist within the Adult service at Sandyford, where the successful candidate will contribute 22.5 hours to the Gender Service.
The role may involve providing clinical psychology expertise across the service area, offering leadership and fostering service development within this evolving sector.
About the Sandyford Gender Service: This service specializes in assessments and therapeutic interventions for adults exploring their gender identity and requiring support. It operates as a multidisciplinary area service dedicated to evaluating, providing interventions, and assisting service users in identifying optimal solutions for their needs. The Sandyford Gender Clinic is recognized as the largest of its kind in Scotland, receiving referrals from various regions. Recently, Gender Identity Services have been integrated into a National Managed Clinical Network, hosted by Greater Glasgow and Clyde, which opens avenues for networking and participation in national service advancements.
