The role of Assistant Clinical/Counselling Psychologist is a key position within our organization, supporting the professional psychological care of clients within our services. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will work under the supervision of a qualified Consultant Clinical Psychologist, providing psychological assessments and interventions to clients. You will also work independently, following an agreed plan and within the framework of our service policies and procedures.

The Assistant Psychologist will be part of a multidisciplinary team, comprising Consultant Clinical Psychologists, Principal Clinical Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists, and Trainee Clinical Psychologists from the West Scotland DClinPsy Programme. Our team is based in Clydebank and is a small, dynamic unit that provides a range of psychological services to clients.

To be successful in this role, you will require a First or Upper Second Class honors degree in Psychology and be eligible for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society. You will also need to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team.
