Job Title: Health and Safety Business Partner - Construction Expert
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Business Partner to join our team at Search. As a key member of our Health, Safety, and Environmental Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environmental Policy and Strategy that aligns with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the central Health and Safety function, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and supported in their health and safety responsibilities.
- Offer specialist environmental guidance to ensure comprehensive support is available to all stakeholders across the organization.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous review of the Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System to ensure compliance with legislation, best practices, and audit requirements.
- Ensure the organization remains informed of current and future legislative requirements, maintaining legal compliance in all health, safety, and environmental matters.
- Manage and resource the central support team to adapt to the organization's evolving needs as it grows.
- Establish strong relationships with the Senior Management Team and the organization's operational functions, overseeing the development and delivery of operational health and safety plans through business partnering and technical support provision.
Requirements:
- Hold a professional health and safety qualification equivalent of NEBOSH diploma level.
- Hold a NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
- Have a relevant CSCS Card.
- Have excellent construction experience.
- Be a chartered member of IOSH (or working towards).
- Hold or working towards an environmental management qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Environmental certificate, or equivalent).
- Be highly organized with the ability to manage your time effectively.
- Be a team worker with excellent collaboration skills.
- Hold a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work.
