Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive Health, Safety, and Environmental Business Lead to join our Health, Safety & Environmental Team on a permanent basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for self-development within a diverse and forward-thinking team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a small team of HS&E professionals and develop and deliver the Torus Group Health, Safety & Environmental Policy & Strategy.
- Provide leadership to the central health and safety function and offer specialist environmental guidance to ensure comprehensive support is available to all stakeholders across the Group.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous review of Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System in line with legislation, best practices, and audit requirements.
- Ensure the Group remains informed of current and future legislative requirements, maintaining legal compliance in all health, safety, and environmental matters.
- Establish strong relationships with the Senior Management Team and the Group's operational functions, overseeing the development and delivery of operational health and safety plans through business partnering and technical support provision.
Requirements:
- Hold a professional health and safety qualification equivalent of NEBOSH diploma level.
- Hold a NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
- Have a relevant CSCS Card.
- Hold or working towards an environmental management qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH Environmental certificate, or equivalent).
- Hold a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.
