Job Overview

We are thrilled to announce an opportunity to become a part of our renowned Neurodevelopmental Specialist Service (NESS).

We are in search of a Lead Administration Coordinator who possesses substantial administrative and leadership expertise to oversee and guide the administrative team. This team plays a crucial role in managing the flow of patient referrals from initial contact through to diagnosis and discharge.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be tasked with the daily oversight and mentorship of administrative staff, ensuring that exceptional administrative support is consistently provided to the clinical teams.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • A qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 4 or a comparable level of knowledge and experience.
  • Considerable experience in a similar recent position, including staff supervision.
  • Extensive proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A solid understanding of procedures necessary for maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Familiarity with patient information management systems.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative.
  • Outstanding communication skills, capable of engaging with staff at all levels, patients, and external agencies.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, office management skills, and the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively while adhering to deadlines.

The role will operate under the direct guidance of the Service Manager.

Job Duties

The individual in this role will take on a leadership position with responsibility for the daily management of administrative and secretarial personnel, ensuring the delivery of an efficient and effective administrative service.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring data quality and timelines align with Trust and CQUIN targets.
  • Maintaining close collaboration with Contractors, Trust Estates, IT, Procurement, and Support Services Departments to guarantee effective site management.
  • Overseeing the Health and Safety Workbook in accordance with the Trust's Health and Safety policy concerning administrative staff and common areas.

This position requires an experienced professional with relevant qualifications and prior experience in staff management. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, along with practical experience in site management.

Please note: This position does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled Worker visa.

Successful applicants without prior NHS experience will typically be placed at the entry level of the band, in accordance with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.
