Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced and skilled midwife to lead our preterm birth care team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in midwifery and experience in managing preterm women, working within a fetal medicine unit, and auditing.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Receive and triage all AIP referrals, ensuring each individual referral is examined, and the correct pathway of care is implemented.
  • Ensure all women receive an USS by an AIP consultant within 72 hours of receiving the referral, and the correct pathway implemented, to monitor the activity within all AIP cases.
  • Improve outcomes and experiences for those in our care by ensuring all women with confirmed morbidly adherent placenta are known to the AIP centres.
  • Be involved in training midwives, medical, and support staff.

Key Requirements:

  • NMC Registered Midwife
  • Post-registration experience
  • Managerial/leadership experience

Desirable Qualifications and Skills:

  • MSc in a relevant subject (evidence of working towards, i.e., already on pathway)
  • Mentorship qualification
  • In-depth understanding of the relevance of high-quality data
