Role Overview

The Principal Architect is responsible for overseeing comprehensive IT services within the realm of application engineering and enterprise-level delivery. This pivotal role is essential for crafting integrated technology solutions, emphasizing integrity and automation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish the strategic architectural direction for specialized technology domains, such as the development of trading platforms.
  • Provide in-depth technical expertise in the design and assessment of complex technology architectures, while mentoring solution architects to foster continuous learning within the architecture community.
  • Manage innovative design and engineering initiatives, collaborating with technical experts to address intricate challenges that align with the organization's technology strategy.
  • Develop and promote architectural standards, guidelines, and governance policies to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance, thereby mitigating various risks.
  • Identify emerging technology trends and innovations that may influence the organization, implementing solutions that align with strategic objectives.
  • Maintain strong advisory relationships with business partners, architects, and engineering teams to drive successful design and engineering outcomes.
  • Advocate for optimal solutions that meet the organization’s technological needs through effective communication to support architectural decisions.
  • Support community initiatives to mentor team members, streamline operations, and enhance knowledge sharing.
Director Expectations
  • Provide expert counsel to senior management and committees, influencing decisions beyond immediate functional areas.
  • Oversee resource management, budgeting, and policy formulation for significant sub-functions.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, escalating breaches appropriately.
