Key Responsibilities
- Design and oversee the bank's strategic architecture direction for specialized technology domains, such as trading platform development.
- Deliver profound technical expertise in the creation and assessment of intricate technology architectures, while supervising and coordinating solution architects to foster continuous learning within the architecture community.
- Manage innovative design and engineering initiatives alongside complex technology projects, collaborating with technical experts across the organization to address challenging issues that align with the bank's technology strategy.
- Establish and promote architectural standards, guidelines, and governance policies to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance, mitigating various risks including breaches and regulatory violations.
- Identify emerging technology trends and innovations that may influence the bank, implementing potential solutions that align with strategic objectives.
- Develop and maintain advisory relationships with business partners, architects, and engineering teams to drive successful design and engineering outcomes.
- Advocate for optimal solutions that meet the bank's technological requirements through clear and persuasive communication to support architectural decisions.
- Support initiatives within the engineering and architecture community to mentor team members, streamline operations, and share knowledge.
- Provide expert guidance to senior management and committees, influencing decisions beyond your immediate function and contributing significantly to strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate and enable resource allocation, budgeting, and policy development for a significant sub-function.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, escalating breaches appropriately.
- Focus on external environments, regulators, or advocacy groups to monitor and influence on behalf of the organization when necessary.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of how the function integrates with the overall business objectives.
