Purpose of the Position

The objective of this role is to establish direction and design solutions for the bank's most intricate IT systems and platforms, utilizing industry-leading methodologies to address complex functional and non-functional requirements.

Accountabilities
  • Define the strategic architectural direction for specialized technology domains, such as trading platform development.
  • Provide in-depth technical guidance in the design and assessment of complex technology architectures, while overseeing and coordinating solution architects to foster continuous learning within the architecture community.
  • Manage innovative design and engineering initiatives, collaborating with technical experts across the organization to resolve complex challenges that align with the bank's technology strategy.
  • Develop and promote architectural standards, guidelines, and governance policies to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance, thereby mitigating various risks.
  • Identify emerging technology trends and innovations that may influence the bank, implementing solutions that align with strategic objectives.
  • Maintain advisory relationships with business partners, architects, and engineering teams to drive successful design and engineering outcomes.
  • Advocate for optimal solutions that meet the bank's technological needs through effective communication to support architectural decisions.
