Position Overview

Baines Simmons is seeking a Senior Account Manager to spearhead growth initiatives and actively participate in enhancing our global brand presence. Our organization specializes in aviation safety training, providing a comprehensive range of courses that serve as the primary access point for our clients to our offerings.

The successful candidate will collaborate within an account management team, guiding clients to identify optimal solutions tailored to their needs across designated Key Accounts and a personal territory aimed at maximizing revenue and fostering long-term opportunities.

In addition to overseeing their own territory, the Senior Account Manager will lead the Academy team on critical initiatives, including driving Partner Plus sales, developing Key Accounts, and executing follow-up marketing campaigns. This role encompasses both personal and team objectives.

The Business Development and Sales division focuses on three primary areas: Academy training, In-company training, and Consultancy and Large Programmes (C&LP). This position is integral to the Academy training team.

The Senior Account Manager will report directly to the Head of Sales and Business Development while managing a small team of Account Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consistently achieve personal sales targets and exemplify high activity levels, including call volumes, engagement duration, and conversion rates.
  • Assist the Academy team in reaching their individual targets by identifying opportunities to enhance course offerings, maximize attendance, and proactively manage territory to generate new business leads and nurture existing accounts.
  • Prepare weekly forecasts for the Academy.
  • Monitor team performance and collaborate with each Key Account Manager on KPIs and developmental areas.
  • Professionally manage incoming Academy training inquiries through various channels, adhering to established service level agreements.
  • Ensure all inquiries are documented within our CRM system.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team on targeted campaigns to promote our training schedule.
  • Work alongside consultants and the Product team to provide the most suitable training solutions for client inquiries.
  • Ensure adherence to our terms of business and secure advance payment prior to course participation.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of successful sales experience.
  • Experience in a consultative sales environment is preferred.
  • Prior experience in sales team leadership is advantageous but not mandatory. While aviation experience is beneficial, comprehensive training will be provided.
