Overview of the Role

Are you seeking a fulfilling role that allows you to maintain a work-life balance without the demands of night shifts or weekends?

We invite both newly qualified and experienced healthcare professionals, including Registered Nurses, Operating Department Practitioners, and Paramedics, to consider a position within our dynamic Pre-Operative Assessment Team.

We are in search of committed and enthusiastic Band 5 Registered Nurses or HCPC practitioners to join our team at Maidstone Hospital.

Do you possess strong communication and interpersonal abilities?

Do you have experience working alongside a diverse range of healthcare professionals and a passion for enhancing the surgical journey for patients?

If so, this opportunity may be ideal for you.

Key Responsibilities

Staff members in the Pre-Assessment Unit are essential in providing safe and effective pre-operative care to elective surgical patients. You will collaborate daily with multidisciplinary teams, including General Practitioners, Surgical Consultants, and Anaesthetists, to conduct thorough clinical assessments that ensure patients and their families receive exceptional preparation for surgical procedures.

As part of the Pre-Operative Assessment Unit, you will be integral in evaluating patients across various specialties, including ENT, Orthopaedics, Urology, Gynaecology, Breast, and General Surgery.

Our clinic has recently launched an innovative digital preoperative assessment program aimed at delivering the highest standard of surgical care to all patients.
