About the Role

The Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join their Integrated Discharge Team as an Administrator. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth discharge of patients with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with wards to ensure timely compilation of Medically Optimized forms, providing guidance and support to staff on the correct process.
  • Compile and update the complex discharges tracker, ensuring accuracy and liaising with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Undertake a range of clerical and administrative duties, including dealing with the public, sharing information with multi-agencies, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Utilize typing and keyboard skills to efficiently manage tasks and maintain high levels of productivity.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering internal telephone enquiries in a courteous and helpful manner.

Requirements

  • Computer literacy in word and Excel.
  • Clerical experience in a hospital setting.
  • Sufficient experience as an administrator.
  • Desirable: knowledge of the healthcare environment and experience with NHS computer systems.
  • Essential qualification: GCSE or equivalent.
