Responsibilities Include:

Team Management

Oversee daily operations of the Administrative and Reception Teams, ensuring staff meet their objectives Manage the daily workload of the Administrative and Reception Teams Conduct performance reviews for administrative and reception staff

Recruitment and Selection

Advertise available positions within the practice Coordinate interviews and prepare interview materials Compile offer letters and manage DBS checks Ensure comprehensive staff induction processes are followed

Employee Relations

Mentor and support staff to maximize their potential and foster a high-performance environment Champion staff wellbeing initiatives

Staff Training

Ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements Maintain training records within the practice's management system Update the training matrix as necessary Manage training information effectively

General HR Support

Assist Partners and the Business Manager with key HR initiatives Provide statistical data for recruitment and staff management Maintain a register for clinician validation and professional registration Oversee onboarding processes for GP Registrars

Information Technology and Digital Services

Act as the Digital Champion Manage key aspects of the clinical management system Lead IT and digital initiatives in collaboration with the Business Manager Support the management of the Practice's online presence

Compliance and Governance

Collaborate with the Business Manager and GP Partners on contract coordination Review practice policies and procedures as needed Support compliance with regulatory standards Assist with facilities and health & safety management Lead on information governance and data security

General Duties

Coordinate practice meetings Lead administrative team meetings Support patient participation group meetings Assist with safeguarding policies and practice projects

Qualifications

Essential

Strong educational background GCSE Grade A to C in English and Maths

Experience

Essential

Experience in General Practice or NHS settings Proven supervisory experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Familiarity with GP IT Systems (EMIS Web)

Desirable

Experience in Operations, Facilities Management, or Senior Administration within General Practice
