Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a background in waste management, recycling, or production to lead the transfer station operations. In this role, you will oversee a small team of shift-based operatives, ensuring that waste is efficiently received and bulked for processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain KPI performance and throughput targets.
  • Ensure safety across sites with heavy mobile plant machinery.
  • Drive profitability through effective cost management.
  • Uphold company policies and operational standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a KPI-driven production environment.
  • Strong leadership skills are essential; waste and recycling experience is advantageous.
  • IOSH Managing Safely is required; NEBOSH is preferred.
  • WAMITAB / COTC certification is essential, with experience in waste management.
  • Experience in managing budgets; P&L responsibility is desirable.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Previous roles may have included: Waste Transfer Station Manager, Recycling Site Manager, Area HWRC Manager, MBT Operations Manager, Factory Manager, Production Manager, Plant Manager, MRF Manager.
