The ideal candidate will become part of a skilled and cohesive team, engaging directly with talented peers to provide a variety of cuisines at the highest quality.

You will work with premium ingredients and be responsible for the daily preparation and presentation of meals for the Royal Household and its staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in meal preparation across all kitchen sectors for internal staff, Royal events, and special occasions, ensuring the highest quality.
  • Collaborate with Senior chefs to design seasonal menus using local estate products.
  • Travel to various locations as necessary, maintaining consistent standards at each site.
  • Oversee your designated section, ensuring all production requirements are met and promptly communicate any stock or equipment issues to the Head Chef or Chef in Charge.
  • Work closely with all kitchen divisions to ensure efficient service, stepping in as needed to support the Chef in charge.
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety in kitchen areas and equipment, adhering to hygiene regulations.

Candidate Profile

  • Completion of a City and Guilds catering qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
  • Demonstrated expertise across all kitchen sections: Larder, Vegetables, Sauces, and Pastry, showcasing versatility.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team, promoting a supportive and positive atmosphere.
  • Clear and effective communication skills to facilitate smooth kitchen operations.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance and a safe working environment.
  • Proven planning and organizational abilities, managing kitchen tasks with precision.
  • Proactive initiative and independent judgment to drive innovation and resolve issues.
  • Awareness of legislative requirements, ensuring adherence to standards and operational compliance.
  • A strong desire to learn and grow, embracing opportunities for professional development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in high-end catering operations, particularly in Corporate or City contract catering.
  • Familiarity with both large-scale catering and classical French cuisine is advantageous.
