Are you a certified swimming instructor with a deep enthusiasm for aquatic activities and exceptional organizational and communication abilities? If so, this position may be ideal for you. The Aquatic Program Coordinator will ensure outstanding service delivery to both current clients and potential participants. You will need to possess strong organizational skills to manage a high volume of daily inquiries across various swimming lesson topics. Additionally, you will support our extensive team of swim instructors, ensuring they provide high-quality lessons in accordance with the Swim England pathway, along with handling various administrative responsibilities to facilitate the program.

This role offers a chance to engage in a thriving swim program that operates seven days a week, providing a fulfilling opportunity to positively impact individuals' lives by teaching them a vital life skill.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to oversee and support our large team of instructors, ensuring that all swimming lessons are assigned qualified teachers and arranging cover for absences.

You will monitor lessons on a scheduled basis to guarantee that we deliver exceptional instruction to a diverse range of swimmers, including children and adults, as well as individuals with additional needs, in alignment with Swim England's National Plan for Teaching Swimming.

Handling a significant volume of inquiries in person, via email, and over the phone from prospective and current clients will be part of your role, providing a level of customer service that sets us apart from competitors.

You will manage all aspects of program administration, from bookings to cancellations, while collaborating with staff across the Sports Village to ensure the successful execution of swimming lessons.

Skills and Experience

Experience in a swim teaching environment with knowledge of the Swim England Pathway is essential.

Experience in a customer-oriented organization with proven communication and interpersonal skills is required, along with a commitment to promoting service excellence in the delivery of swimming lessons.

Experience in managing challenging conversations would be advantageous.

You should be an excellent problem solver, capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

Demonstrable organizational skills are necessary, with experience in roles requiring the management of multiple tasks, ideally in an administrative capacity, and familiarity with computerized membership/booking systems.

Qualifications Required

Educated to A-Level or equivalent standard.

Minimum of Swim England Level 1 Assistant Teaching qualification.

Level 2 Swim Teacher qualification, emergency first aid (or the ability to obtain within 6 months), and safeguarding children/child protection qualification are desirable.
