About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Domestic Abuse Housing Advocate to join our team at Clinks. As a Housing Advocate, you will play a vital role in providing intervention, advocacy, and support to survivors of domestic abuse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive assessments of needs and risk for survivors experiencing domestic abuse, including conducting short risk management and safety planning.
  • Assess the needs and safety of any children that women using the service may have.
  • Work with survivors to maintain their tenancies and prevent homelessness, coordinating the provision of multi-agency support.
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans to empower survivors and ensure their voice is heard throughout their journey.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless service delivery and effective support for survivors.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in supporting women who have experienced domestic abuse in all its forms.
  • Good understanding of violence against women and girls, focusing on the dynamics of domestic abuse and its impact on women, children, families, and communities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with survivors and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
