About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Domestic Abuse Housing Advocate to join our team at Clinks. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing intervention, advocacy, and support to survivors of domestic abuse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive assessments of needs and risk for survivors experiencing domestic abuse, including conducting short risk management and safety planning.
  • Assess the needs and safety of any children that women using the service may have.
  • Work closely with local authorities and housing associations to ensure survivors have access to support and resources.
  • Coordinate the provision of multi-agency support to maintain tenancies and prevent homelessness.

Requirements:

  • Solid experience of supporting women who have experienced domestic abuse in all its forms.
  • Good understanding of violence against women and girls, focusing on the dynamics of domestic abuse and its impact on women, children, families, and communities.
  • Proven skills and experience in conducting comprehensive assessments of needs and risk for survivors experiencing domestic abuse.
  • Experience in assessing the needs and safety of any children that women using the service may have.
