Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety Compliance Officer to join our team at Great Places Housing Group. As a key member of our fire safety team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of fire safety contracts and supporting the Strategic Fire Manager in coordinating fire safety activity and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct property inspections to identify areas for improvement and propose effective solutions and recommendations.
  • Prepare schedules of work, specifications, and procure remedial fire works projects.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to colleagues and contractors.
  • Support fire safety projects across our property portfolio.

Requirements

  • BAFE or other fire-related qualification.
  • Member of BIFM or equivalent body (not essential).
  • NEBOSH Fire Certificate or equivalent.
  • Technical knowledge of emergency lighting, fire detection systems, AOVs, and Lift maintenance.
  • Excellent knowledge of compliance legislation relating to fire safety.
  • Experience in contract management and delivery.
  • Experience in budget setting and management.
