Position Overview

We are thrilled to present an opportunity for dedicated individuals to join our Patient Administration Team as a Ward Administration Coordinator. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our wards and enhancing patient experiences.

Contract Details

This position is offered on a fixed-term basis, with specific hours that may vary based on the ward's operational needs. Candidates should be prepared for a range of shift patterns, including both daytime and nighttime hours, as well as weekends and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities

As a Ward Administration Coordinator, you will serve as the initial point of contact for patients and visitors, managing the reception area of the ward. Your duties will include:

  • Welcoming patients and visitors, addressing inquiries, and managing communication via telephone and door buzzers.
  • Maintaining high standards of data integrity and customer service, ensuring accurate patient records and timely processing of admissions and discharges.
  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to the multidisciplinary team within the ward.
  • Exhibiting effective teamwork and a commitment to the Trust's Vision & Values.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a solid educational background, complemented by strong organizational, motivational, and communication skills. You should be adept at managing tasks in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate proficiency in keyboard skills with a focus on accuracy. Both independent and collaborative work capabilities are essential.

Essential Qualifications

  • GCSEs in Maths and English (grades 9-4 or A*-C).

Experience Requirements

  • Proven experience in customer service and public interaction.
  • Familiarity with IT systems and administrative processes.
