Clinical Support Specialist for ADHD Team

Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a dedicated individual to join the ADHD team as a Clinical Support Specialist within the Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation NHS Trust. This role is integral to the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, specifically within the neurodevelopmental pathway. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating referrals and ensuring timely access to essential services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in gathering information for assessments through school observations and professional collaboration.
  • Contribute to assessments as needed.
  • Respond to inquiries and support requests from families.
  • Undertake specific tasks under the guidance of specialist nurses and consultant psychiatrists.

Team Environment

As part of a dynamic and supportive multidisciplinary team, you will engage with a variety of skilled professionals, including nurses, clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, and speech and language therapists. This collaborative environment fosters learning and development.

Personal Requirements

This position covers a wide geographical area, necessitating a valid UK driving license for independent travel within service hours.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a care setting.
  • Ability to undergo personal safety training.
  • Access to a vehicle for travel.

Desirable:

  • Experience in mental health services.
