About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Insights Analyst to join our team at Hiscox. As a key member of our UK Claims team, you will play a critical role in supporting our data-led decision making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary data expert, working closely with stakeholders to understand commercial needs and deliver high-quality data insights.
  • Develop and maintain UK Claims reporting needs using PowerBI as the primary visualization tool.
  • Drive the preparation of consistent and accurate data and MI outputs, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
  • Participate in Hiscox UK projects, leveraging data to support or evidence the benefits of planned operational change.
  • Manage regulatory reporting needs, responding within regulated timeframes.
  • Identify opportunities for advanced analytics and data usage, offering solutions to drive business growth.
  • Act as an ambassador for claims data across the business, helping stakeholders turn business problems into solutions.
  • Gather, analyze, and define data business requirements, working with technical teams to deliver technical specifications.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of data privacy and security standards in an insurance context.
  • Experience working with Data Warehouse technologies, ideally Databricks.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of continuous improvement and agile methodology.
  • Proven experience driving a data strategy and change in business processes, especially related to data and MI.
  • Ability to work in partnership with technical areas of the business, such as Data Scientists, to drive the use of modeling, automation, and analytics.
  • Experience influencing and building relationships with stakeholders at all levels and across geographies.
