Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Compliance Manager to join our team at Lanes Group. As a key member of our Transport Division, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance within our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Vehicle Maintenance:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive preventive maintenance programs for our transportation fleet.
  • Collaborate with in-house maintenance teams and external service providers to ensure timely and efficient repairs and inspections.
Regulatory Compliance:
  • Stay abreast of UK transportation regulations and standards, ensuring compliance with local, national, and industry-specific laws.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Work closely with relevant authorities and agencies to address compliance issues and stay informed about updates.
  • Provide comprehensive training to drivers and other staff on safety procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Engage with regulatory bodies, suppliers, and clients to address concerns, provide updates, and foster positive relationships.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle inspections, maintenance, and compliance activities.
  • Generate reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators related to maintenance and compliance.
Vendor Management:
  • Collaborate with external vendors for vehicle maintenance and compliance services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and maintaining high-quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience with maintenance software and record-keeping systems is beneficial.
  • A full UK driver's license is crucial to the role.
